The Ultimate Wedding Skin Timeline for NZ Brides

Your wedding day is one of the most photographed days of your life. If you're considering cosmetic treatments to look your best, timing is everything. Here's a practical timeline to help you plan — based on 10+ years of helping clients prepare for their big day.

6 Months Before: Start the Foundation

This is the ideal time to begin your skincare journey:

• Begin pigmentation treatment if needed — MeLine peels require a course of 3-6 sessions, so start early.

3-4 Months Before: Targeted Treatments

• SkinPen microneedling course — 3 sessions, 4-6 weeks apart. Start now so the full course finishes 4-6 weeks before the wedding.

2 Months Before: Dermal Fillers

If you know your treatment schedule and your last anti-wrinkle treatment was 3 months ago, a light top-up 7-10 days before the wedding ensures you're looking fresh. But only if you're an experienced client — never try anti-wrinkle injections for the first time within a month of your wedding.

The Day Before & Day Of

• Stay hydrated — drink plenty of water
• Avoid salty foods (reduces puffiness)
• Stick to your established skincare routine — no new products
• Get a good night's sleep

What Not to Do

• Don't try any new treatment within 4 weeks of the wedding
• Don't have fillers for the first time within 2 months
• Don't have a peel within 3-4 weeks
• Don't change your skincare routine in the final 2 weeks
