What is Dysport ?
Dysport is used to treat and prevent wrinkles, fine lines, and deep facial furrows. By working beneath the surface, Dysport can help reduce the underlying muscle activity that causes the skin to appear wrinkled or folded
How much does Dysport cost?
Botox costs $6/unit, and while there is a wide variety of treatments that use Dysport, treatments are usually between 50-130 units.
Hyperhidrosis treatments cost $1390 due to the treatment requiring 250 units of Dysport. Re-treatment is typically needed anywhere from four to fourteen months.
When will I see results?
You will start to notice results within 72 hours, but the end result is around 10-14 days post treatment.
How long will it last?
Results from Dysport are not permanent. Effects usually last about 3-4 months
How many treatments will I need?
Dysport will only need one single treatment to show results. However, results last about 3-4 months, therefore treatments can continue upon this timeline for as long as the patient desires.
Will I need time to recover?
Bruising is possible, plan 2 weeks ahead of any events/vacations.
Dysport
Dysport® is a prescription medicine containing Clostridium Botulinum Type A toxin complex for injection. It is used for the treatment of frown lines and excessive sweating. It should be administered only by trained medical professionals. Cautions: people with defective neuro-muscular transmission disorders, infection at site of injection, pregnancy and lactation. Possible side effects include headaches, pain, burning or redness at injection site, local muscle weakness including drooping eye lids, lack of feeling or nausea, or compensatory sweating in other skin areas. Talk to your specialist about the benefits/risks of this procedure. A charge applies. Dysport® treatment lasts about four months and after this time further courses of treatment may be necessary.
